High-speed performance facilitated by high-quality components – Lew’s Speed Spool Baitcast Reel easily surpasses the competition and looks good doing it. Expertly delivering both power and speed, the reel is equipped with a 10-bearing system with stainless steel double shielded ball bearings, high strength solid brass Speed Gears®, a P2 Super Pinion® bearing supported pinion gear for strong gear mesh, and a Rulon drag system with 15 lbs. max drag to ensure you’re always prepared for any battle on the water. While other reel brands have moved to cheaper materials in this price range, the Speed Spool still has a rugged and durable, ergonomic aluminum frame and graphite sideplates, and includes a recessed, externally adjustable Magnetic Control System (MCS) for easy fine tuning to meet your preferences. The reel also features an anodized aluminum, U-shaped, 34mm spool with Knot Slot for extremely even line lay, a 95mm bowed anodized aluminum handle with Pro Power contoured rubber knobs, and an external lube port. The reel is offered in both right- and left-hand models in 5.6:1, 6.8:1, 7.5:1, and 8.3:1 gear ratios.
Speed Spool combos feature HM30 graphite blanks outfitted with stainless steel guide frames with aluminum oxide inserts, Lew’s SoftTouch skeletal graphite reel seat, and cork split grips for ultimate comfort.
